June Paper Crew Blog Hop—Dandelion Wishes

Ahoy friends and welcome aboard the Paper Crew June Blog Hop! We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators who have come together online to create cards, scrapbook pages and other paper craft projects. We hope these samples will inspire you to also create fun projects using amazing Stampin’ Up! products.

This month we are sharing projects using any stamp set from the newly released Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue. My choice is Dandelion Wishes.

Dandelion Wishes is my favourite stamp set now. It is so delicate and has so many applications. In this card, I have used it with the Highland Heather and Calypso Coral Blendabilities markers but there are many other beautiful cards you can make with it. Versatility is so important for a stamp set. This set would also work well on a scrapbooking page.

This card was very easy to do. The card base is Basic Gray then Whisper White and then Basic Gray again. The first step is to cut out your paper. You need a piece of paper that is 3-3/4" x 5" in Basic Gray. You will also need a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4" x 5-1/4" and the card base is Basic Gray so 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".

The Stamparatus comes in handy for this card. You stamp the smallest piece of Basic Gray cardstock with the Dandelion Wishes stamp in Versamark. Then apply the white embossing powder and heat it. You have to do this several times so that your stamp covers the whole bottom left part of the card. I stamped mine three times and heat embossed each time. After your card has been heat embossed then you use your Blendabilities Markers and colour on top of the embossing. You use the darkest colour of the Blendabilities Markers on the centre of the dandelion and the lighter marker as you work your way to the edge of the flower. You have to be careful that you have some paper under your project while you are working with the Blendabilites Markers as they will seep through the cardstock onto your table. If this happens, you need the Stazon Cleaner to remove the colour from your work station. 

I used the Well Written Dies and the Well Said stamp set for the first card's greeting  Beautiful Bouquet Stamp set for the other Card. I also used the Layering Circles Dies and the Layering Ovals Dies for my greetings.
